The signing ceremony of the collaboration agreement for the implementation of electronic tax payment services between the General Department of Taxation and Vietnam Maritime Commercial Bank (Maritime Bank) took place on March 10th in Hanoi.
The electronic tax filing service aids businesses in simplifying processes, conserving time, and allows tax submissions 24/7, including on weekends and holidays. It enables enterprises to proactively monitor and update their tax submission status while also benefiting from additional services provided by banks. This service further enhances the tax sector’s capability in efficiently and accurately gathering information.
Mr. Nguyễn Phi Hùng – Deputy General Director of Maritime Bank indicated that the bank highly values the significance of electronic tax services for corporate clients, thus committing to allocate all resources and optimal conditions to develop the best services for the widest range of businesses.
“With robust support from the General Department of Taxation, Maritime Bank is confident in swiftly rolling out this highly beneficial service,” said Mr. Hùng.
More than a year post the implementation by the General Department of Taxation, over 18 cities and provinces have seen more than 24,000 businesses utilizing the electronic tax payment service, with a total budget revenue collected through the electronic payment portal exceeding 14 trillion VND. The electronic tax payment service has been well-received by many firms, with substantial appreciation for the modernization of tax filing processes, administrative reform in taxation, and most critically, a reduction in the time required for tax-related procedures. The General Department of Taxation is committed to achieving the rollout of this service to 90% of businesses that have engaged in online tax declaration by 2015.
